Nikon D7100
DJI Phantom 4
Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8
How did you get started with photography?
I bought my first Nikon DSLR 8 years ago when I moved to Northern California. I realized this forced me to go out and explore, go on adventures, and to show others how beautiful my home state is. Through trial and error, I taught myself and started to develop my own style. I shoot mainly landscape, lifestyle, and travel photography.
How to use Social Media as a marketing tool?
As a creator, Social Media is extremely important in our modern world. You need to be consistent, post your work every day, try new things, and be creative. It's also important to interact with your followers and other photographers to inspire you and push you forward.
What are your hobbies outside of photography?
I really do enjoy skydiving. Most people probably think it's an intense sport, but it's actually the most relaxing and peaceful thing you can do. I also enjoy surfing and traveling.
What is your favorite skydiving drop zone that you have been to?
I love GoJump Oceanside, near San Diego. Beautiful location, nice mix of fun jumpers and tandems, and a fast plane! I also love jumping at Skydive Elsinore near Los Angeles. The place has an amazing vibe with friendly jumpers and a beautiful view. We are truly spoiled here in Southern California!
What tips do you have for shooting while skydiving?
Good lighting is key when shooting skydivers. Get on that first load or that last sunset load for the best light. Try to go on a day with clouds as well. Skydivers love blue skies, but clouds really make your images stand out.
What is your favorite place that you have traveled to?
So far Singapore, it’s such a beautiful city. I also love Vietnam for the food.
What are five pieces of adventure gear you can not live without?
My Nikon D750, Boosted Board, DJI Mavic drone, surfboard, and my Toyota FJ Cruiser.
